The book has five chapters following an Introduction. I: The Doctor; II: The Apothecary; III: The Charlatan; IV: Remedies and Cures; V: Medical Practices. In the Introduction one notes many instances where the dates assigned to various physicians and to others differ from the dates as given in Garrison. This, however, is hardly material to the purpose of the book.
